Wyoming ranks third on medical care costs for inmates

A recent study found that the state of Wyoming was third in spending on medical care amongst the American States, surpassed only by Vermont and California. The report is based on 2011 statistics, the most recent year that national data is available. In that year Wyoming spent nearly twenty-one million dollars in total on medical care for inmates. That amounted to almost eleven thousand dollars per inmate

Wyoming Representative Says no to Federal Gun Control

Vice President Joe Biden is set to present a pair of gun control proposals to President Obama devised by a task force he put together to address the issue. While many feel that additional gun control measures are necessary, indeed critical in the wake of gun violence on campuses and in public venues across the nation, many others feel their rights under the Second Amendment, which provides for the right to “keep and bear arms”, are dangerously threatened.

Wyoming Teachers are Soon to be armed in Class

In response to dozens of school shootings and terrorist attacks around the world, the Wyoming house of representatives has passed a bill that will allow teachers to carry concealed weapons in the classrooms. Teachers must obtain their concealed carry permits in order to avail themselves of the new law, which some believe doesn’t provide adequate training to protect themselves and students.
